OUR MISSION

It is estimated that 20 billion pairs of shoes are produced annually. 300 million of those shoes thrown away each year come from the UK alone!

The average pair of shoes takes more than 50 years to fully decompose. The Ethylene Vinyl Acetate, which usually makes up the midsole of most running shoes, can last for as long as 1,000 years in a landfill. The nasty chemicals found within the glues, rubbers and even leather materials used to manufacture shoes are released into the environment.

Shoe consumption has increased and they have become harder to recycle.

Our mission on this journey is to do our part within the trainer industry to help cut down on the number of shoes which are thrown away each year and we will do this by cleaning and restoring them to the best of our ability so that they can be worn again.
